niki, sorry i didn't post yesterday!  but i'm so excited to celebrate with you both tonight!!

i have now jogged 1 mile 2 days in a row!  i know that's nothing compared to some of you, but i've been SOOOOOO lazy for the past ... 8 years? ... that it's a lot for me.  also, did lots of crunches and some stretching.  w00t w00t.

first, i changed my lj format.  w00t.  "magic paper" is my new fave.

second, i just cut my inbox from 99 to 8 emails.  (most of which was junk.)  but i still need to reply to a ton of people who e-mailed me about their phone numbers... maybe i'll do that now? 

third, mountain dew is CRACK.

i need the following things:

• suggestions for ring tones (now that it's a new month i can start downloading ring tones again on my phone) for friends, work, family.  i am just not able to make these decisions at the moment.
  
• NEW ICONS.  mine suck.  and also, i just haven't been that kind of creative lately.

please help.

besides the move update i just did, lots of stuff has been happening the past couple weeks.  also, i've been really anti-computer since the lappy died.  even after i got it back, i didn't really feel like getting online or catching up on my flist.  nothing personal, i just needed a break from everything and was really just too exhausted.  i think i'm beginning to come around, though, so you should notice me posting and commenting more. :D

ok, so here's random and possibly important (if not to anyone other than myself) stuff in no particular order:

• that family adopted Trogdor last Saturday!  thanks for all the good thoughts :D
• i finally saw Pirates 2.  i can't believe it took me so long to see it, but now i cannot wait to see the 3rd.  i think we're going to watch it tomorrow night.
• kadi and i are becoming outside-of-work friends.  she has a pool at her new pad and we're starting a friday tradition where we will go hang out at the pool and have a beer or two after work.
• this isn't really about me, but i have to share that my friends are getting HOT(ter).  smk has SHRANK.  when i went to see her for graduation my jaw literally dropped.  and thea is tiny and buff. :)
• speaking of thea's thighs - they inspired me to take brandon brown for a jog today!  we went a whole mile even though it started to rain and she started really lagging behind.  i didn't realize that i have more endurance than the pup.  talk about making a girl feel good.
  
• bob and i moved the bed, fuzzies, and a small amount of clothes to brian's house last weekend.  we're slowly bringing other stuff over as well as putting a lot of stuff aside for the yard sale.
• i got to talk to amanda c-s the other day.  well, chat with her.  it was so nice bc i totally miss her.
• i'm in the process of researching crap for a huge grant that kadi and i are going to submit to wal-mart about a pilot mentorship program for JR high girls in Bentonville/NWAR.  i am going to have mad skillz when i'm done with this job.
• my lappy is still acting strange (and has been since i got it back from the repair shop).  i need a techie friend to look at it...  ::peers at shane::
• my phone was not stolen by evil pixies, but instead by an 18-yr-old male who had just come on to the cleaning crew at Stephens.  and he downloaded $178 worth of ring tones & porn/internet onto my phone.  FYI: cingular/at&t has an $100 limit on the amount of ring tones one can download in a month.  and that does not reset until the first of the month.  dude also stole an MP3 player, 2 thumb drives, and a PDA from others in my building.  thanks to my phone bill, he was caught, admitted to it, and Stephen's is pressing charges.

well, that was long.

in the past month, most of my closest friends have moved or have begun to get ready to move (aka sell their house!!!); i have personally helped 2 friends move as well as the ex-mother-in-law of the pal bob and i are moving in with; my boss has moved; and i have moved my office.

that is a LOT of moving.  on the bright side, i got to steal all the empty boxes from WFA so that bob and i can use them.  while at work we have already packed, moved, unpacked, and put into storage almost everything, home is a DIFFERENT story. 

brian, bob & myself, and a few other friends (who are also moving - forgot to list them above), are going to have a joint yard/garage sale in a few weeks and all the proceeds will go to a summer open-house-type party with lots of booze, grilled food, and (hopefully) friends.  so that means that i am actually purging lots and lots of crap that i have horded for years.  no longer will i be the girl to turn to when you need that random thing.   that makes me kind of sad, but, at the same time, very few people have turned to me for the random thing in the past few years, so i guess it's not the end of the world.  i would like to be a girl with less clutter & overall stuff.  that also means some serious closet purging, so i hope to borrow smk or thea before they leave.  i need someone to be brutally honest about my wardrobe so that i can cut out all the crap i've kept for years but never or hardly ever wear.

i've not had the best or worst day.  just a day full of enough goodness to balance out the million little annoyances of technology/moving.

eta:  the day rounded out soooooooooo well by hanging out with kadi poolside and then smk and thea (and jonny)!  ::loves having smk & thea time::

ninja! kitty has been v demanding and wants me to pet him instead of typing.  he's also being v jumpy. 

btw, did anyone know that Sally's closes at 8:00??  i thought they closed at 9:00.  regardless, i REALLY want to put highlights in my hair and i was 30 min late last night and then went by this morning, and, of course, they don't open til 9:00. 

Mandy, Spencer, and Crikey are going to come meet Trogdor around 10:30.  PLEASE SEND "FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM AND TAKE HIM HOME" KIND OF THOUGHTS.

other than that, i'm kind of starting to pack.  i'm not feeling  v motivated as i've been packing up my office all week.  ok, well, it's almost 9:00 so i can go get my hair bleach.

which i finished last night and very much enjoyed.  bob is the best at suggesting books.
other related happy things:

1. puppies have stopped puking (after almost $300 in vet fees).
   
2. trogdor has a prospective new owner coming to meet him tomorrow.  ::crosses fingers::
3. the cleaning company who hired the dude who stole my phone is supposed to be reimbursing me for the $50 i had to spend getting a new one - i need to follow up on that since we're moving offices and all...
   
4. bob and i are going to move in with Brian!  he has a nice 3 bedroom house with a big backyard.  though the yard is smaller than smk & thea's, it's surrounded by a privacy fence!  and the kicker is that we won't be spending any more money a month than we spend now (combining rent & utilities) - unless we have to put some stuff in storage, but we'll figure that out as we start moving.  will start packing this weekend.

i'm packing up the office right now... and i'm getting the the point that the only stuff i have to pack up is the stuff i use every day, but at the end of today i don't think i'll need to use it until we unpack...  i just have to back up all of our information on the computers this afternoon.  that may take a little while.

there are cops walking around the top of the LR courthouse.  they're probably doing a routine inspection and just chillin', but i'm totally going to miss that from my new (beautiful and cozy) office.

i got an e-mail today with someone asking about Trogdor!

also, the WoP Symposium went REALLY well.

the pups are both puking.  brandon brown's stitches don't look like they're healing as quickly as she should.  and her puke is more like stomach acid now.  and trogdor's face is all swollen up, though it's gone down a lot from last night.  and he keeps eating lots of food and then throwing it up.

bob's off work today, so he has a vet appointment for 3:00.  and he's looking for a new place for us and getting boxes and newspaper so we can start packing up stuff.

...i'm really hoping that the 3rd thing was my cell phone debacle. 

so my neighbor leslie moved out a week ago or so because my landlord is building a new office building over his house. some markers popped up in our yard right around that time and we figured we were going to loose about 10 feet... turns out that we have 30 days from today to find a new place. the new office and parking lot will take up from leslie's house through mike's house (on the other side).

so much for the cheap rent. now i have to find a place where i can have my huge ass dogs (and ninja! kitty)

• have bought and installed correct memory card.
• bought appropriate phone/music headphones.  should be able to listen to music, hear some tone that a call is coming in, and push a button to switch to the call, and then back again...  have not actually tested this yet, though.
• bought phone clip thing so that i can wear said phone while running and use my rockin' mp3 player option.
• have begun transferring songs... not quite as easy as an ipod or similar as i have to do it ONE SONG AT A TIME.  but whatever.  it'll be worth it.

of course, this means that i have not actually begun my work for this weekend... so as soon as i get a decent number of songs transferred and i can switch my focus to work, i HAVE to start figuring out what kind of results i have.  yars.

i am starting to enjoy my lappy again. "uberputer" as bob named it... i played with my bluetooth thing - learned how to transfer music from the comp to my phone. now i just need to take my memory card back and get the correct one so that i can have more than one song on the blasted phone!

my beloved lappy started having problems when it came back from the computer doctors. i lost all my bookmarks. so i finally transfered them back from the desktop and then went through them again to update, purge, and re-organize. i also ordered a replacement for my lamented patch (WHY didn't i cut the pocket off those jeans when i threw them out?!), found lots of pretty pictures of ireland, and found a decent price for a flight to visit orangelift for the New Year (a hope i'm entertaining).

i'm going to be working on WFA stuff and GoP wrap up all weekend.. i really need to reply to all the nice people who e-mailed me after i lost my phone, but i've been so lazy...
